Quick lunch time spin up to the Beacon on my new bike. The extra 3 gears seem to make the assent easier, or it could have been the lockout facility on the forks, either way I was still blowing like a gooden at the top.
I clearly havn't got the forks set right yet, the ride seemed very hard (yes I had taken the lockout off). The decent through the wood was very greasy due to the leaves but the nice new 2.1" nobbly tyres helped. The handle bars are lower on this bike which helps to keep the front wheel down on the assent but you have to look up further on the decent which makes my neck ache. Less of the whinging, it was still nice to get out of the office thou.
